RRVA Youth Empowerment & Prevention Services exists to bridge the gaps where traditional systems fall short.
We are the connection between youth, families, and the life-changing opportunities they rarely see—because we’ve lived what it feels like to be surrounded by people, yet completely unseen. Through unconventional pathways like MMA Mentorship, Creative Expression, Real-World Career Exposure, and Trauma-Informed Peer Support, we provide authentic, empowering alternatives that help young people build resilience, discover purpose, and connect with role models who reflect their reality. At RRVA, we don’t just offer services—we offer a sense of belonging for those who never fit the mold.

We’re proud to announce the upcoming launch of Unwritten — a powerful new mobile app created through a heartfelt collaboration between Tara Ballinger, founder of RRVA Youth Prevention Services, Boomer Rose of Pink Cloud Innovations, and the dedicated nonprofit The Glue Foundation.
Built with authenticity and passion, Unwritten gives voice to the unheard. This app will feature real stories, digital journaling, anonymous peer support, wellness resources, and powerful tools for healing and growth. Designed especially for youth and young adults, Unwritten offers a safe digital space to express, connect, and grow — one story at a time.

Hands-on projects serve as a therapeutic and empowering tool, teaching them mindfulness, problem-solving, and the value of personal creativity in a world that often pushes conformity.
MUSIC
Music serves as a powerful tool for self-reflection and storytelling, allowing youth to process emotions, find their voice, and relate to positive messages. By integrating music into prevention education, I connect with them on their level, using beats, lyrics, and freestyle creativity to encourage self-expression and critical thinking about their choices.
MMA / SPORTS
MMA training teaches discipline, control, and self-respect while offering an empowering outlet for stress and frustration. By incorporating MMA, I provide youth with a structured way to channel aggression, build mental and physical resilience, and develop confidence through personal growth and goal-setting.
